Minecraft Java 26.3 ยท Bedrock 1.26.50
A Minecraft server, forged in Rust.
RustMC is a Minecraft Java Edition server written from scratch in Rust. Java and Bedrock players share one world, and plugins written in Rust, or in anything that compiles to WebAssembly, can hook every packet and every step the game takes.
Counted in the source by the API docs generator at b9ca1e6, the same tables the API reference is checked against.
01 / What it is
Vanilla by default. Yours to change.
With no plugins and no rustmc.yml, RustMC sets out to be the vanilla dedicated server: every default is the game's own. Everything else is opt-in, and plugins reach the same seams the game's own rules run through.
Bedrock bridge
Bedrock players join the same world as Java players, with no proxy in front.
How it worksPlugin API
Listen to events, run before, instead of or after any step, and ask the server through host calls.

Benchmarks coming
RustMC against Paper, Purpur, Pufferfish, Folia and vanilla: the same machine, the same pre-generated world and the same scripted bot load. The numbers appear here when they have been measured, losses included, with the scripts to rerun them. How they will be run.
